At 14:05 in this video they claim that they are cutting the red tape on small businesses, and in many sections within this debate they bring up the creation of 80,000 jobs in two months. If that is true we still lost 100,000 jobs in one month which is a new negative of 20,000 jobs. It just seems like the government is working against small business, and instead is trying to create government jobs for everyone. This way they get control over everyone's income and are able to manage what the majority of people in this country make.

It’s a good point. On paper, creating 80,000 jobs sounds like a win, but when overall employment is still down, it really highlights that small businesses may not be recovering or growing as intended. Government jobs can provide stability, but they don’t necessarily stimulate broader economic growth like private sector jobs do.

I noticed that too. The numbers don’t fully line up with what they’re claiming. If 100,000 jobs were lost and 80,000 created, the net effect is negative. That suggests there might be a focus on programs that don’t actually help the people most affected by job losses, like entrepreneurs and small business owners.

Exactly. Supporting small businesses is essential because they drive innovation and employ the majority outside of the public sector. If the government’s focus is heavily on creating public sector jobs instead, it risks undermining the private economy over the long term.

This also raises questions about control. When most jobs are government-related, it gives the state more influence over incomes and spending patterns. That can feel like a subtle shift away from economic independence for ordinary people.

Many young people want to go to University and college and they need to find jobs to help pay for all of their upcoming expenses. It is extremely difficult for these students to find employment and the cost of higher education keeps going up and up. A student's year could cost more than $20,00.00 for housing, meal plans, tuition, books, etc. depending on their situation. Many families cannot afford to cover these costs with everything else in our world increasing in price. Some financial supports for students have decreased lately especially in Ontario. Unfortunately higher education seems to be becoming only for the wealthy.
