How to Navigate Voice4
Welcome to Voice4! This guide will help you navigate the platform, connect with the community, and make the most of your experience.
1. Getting Started
Step 1: Create Your Account
- Go to Register
- Enter your username, email, password and profile picture
- Verify your email to activate your account
Step 2: Set Up Your Profile:
Go under the menu labeled “Member Cards” and then click the farthest right sub menu labelled “Edit Card”
- Write a short bio
- Enter your name, phone number, where you’re from, X profile or business name
- Add a signature: which is a tagline that will be shown at the bottom of every post you make on the site
Everything here is Optional but will help you build credibility on the Site
2. Understanding Voice4
Voice4 is designed to be intuitive. Here are the main menus explained:
- Discussions– The primary content on the site: Used to express opinions, ideas or ask questions. 100% free and there is not limit on who can create a discussion
- Broadcasts– Premium versions of discussions, they are used for premium content from people who are passionate about an idea of business. They allow for more control (i.e deleting replies, freezing the post and continuous edit rights).
Please use the site to post unique content, it is not a place to just repost information from other places on the internet. You can include and quote other information but contain an opinion post or something that makes it unique.
3. Navigating the Platform
Voice4 is designed to be intuitive. Here are the main menus explained:
- Discussions – The main menu for the site: In here you can see all new discussions and broadcasts posted from everywhere on the site, every comment made under a discussion will push that discussion to the top of the menu. You can refine your search for content in the sub menus or by using either of our search functions
- Broadcasts – This menu filters out all discussions and only shows premium high quality posts. This way you can filter for only the best content.
- Member Cards – This menu allows you to see your member card as well as all other members on the site.
4. Creating Content
Starting a New Discussion
- Click The Blue + Button above the trending content on the right hand side of the screen
- Enter your title
- Enter any text, images, videos or create a poll
- Play around with our editing functions to make your post creative and a home for your ideas
- Once you’ve got it just right Hit “Post Topic”
Posting a Reply
- Choose the discussion you want to join
- Read over the conversation and scroll to the bottom to get to the comment box
- Type your reply in the comment box (use our editing menus to make your comment creative)
- Hit “Post Reply” once you’re ready
Tips:
- Interesting looking posts engage more, so add some colour and make it your own
- Try to prioritize thoughtful/ quality content
- Be respectful to other people's ideas
5. Engaging with the Community
- Like Posts – Show appreciation for posts you find valuable
- Direct Messaging – Our direct messaging system allows you to connect with individual users or create private group conversations to further your conversation away from all other people
- To write a direct message to someone there is a button on every persons profile OR while in the discussions menu, click the envelope icon (near the top right) and then click “send direct” message
- To view a direct message click the envelope icon, and then click “show all”
