How Far Would You Go to Stay Ethical?

Wow, this really hits home. I think one of the hardest parts about running a business is realizing that ethics aren’t just “nice to have”, they’re decisions you have to actively defend, especially when money gets tight.

For example, in my experience, choosing to stick with local suppliers even when prices went up actually ended up building stronger relationships and loyalty with customers. At first, it felt like a financial risk, but in the long run it reinforced the brand’s values and even brought in more business from people who appreciated the commitment.

I do think there’s a balance, though. Not every compromise is a betrayal of ethics, sometimes it’s about finding creative ways to uphold your values while keeping the business sustainable.
