Insisting that voter ID is ‘disenfranchisement’ is just a lazy talking point by people who know they’ll lose when every legitimate vote counts. If you’re genuinely concerned about access, let’s make IDs free and automatic, but pretending that requiring some form of identity is an attack on democracy is dishonest.
I totally agree with you on this one, IDing citizens is a fundamental part of elections as it prevents fraud. What kind of a system would we have if we didn't because I can tell you there would probably be some extreme changes really fast.
