I see many bikes on the street, sometimes locked, sometimes not, but often they disappear very fast. I tried to lock my bike with a strong lock, but I came back and it's gone. This makes me very frustrated because bikes are important for going to work, to school, or just moving around.

I think maybe city can make safe place for park bikes, or put cameras near the street. Maybe more light in street help too.

I’ve lost two bikes in my life. Honestly, city could really do more, like dedicated bike parking with cameras or lockers. It’s not just personal responsibility, the system fails too.

I don’t think cameras solve everything. People steal bikes so fast sometimes that it doesn’t even matter if there is camera. I just use old beat-up bike now. Less value, less problem.

Haha, true. I guess keeping bike cheap is a method. Still, it sucks. I mean, I like nice bikes but if they gone in seconds, why bother. I just stopped leaving mine around the city so I bring it into work with me if I ever ride it to work.

Some neighborhoods put small cages or covered racks for bikes. It’s actually nice solution, but city only has few places. I wish more areas did this. I know university dorms do this sometimes to help out students and it seems to work fairly well.

Foldable is smart. I think education could help too. Some people just don’t know how fast a thief can act, and they leave bike in stupid spots.
