Discussion Are We Living in a Comfort Era

Ultimately, I think we are in a comfort era, but it doesn’t have to be a problem. It becomes a problem only if people stop pushing themselves. Growth is still possible, but it requires conscious effort now more than ever.
That’s a good way to put it. Comfort has changed the environment, but responsibility has shifted to the individual. Whether it becomes a problem depends on how people choose to respond to it.

How do you teach that conscious effort?
Drive comes from within. I have never been able to encourage anyone to have more personal growth if they didn't want it. And how do you crave for more when all of your comforts are met?
I think society is in for a shockwave...I'm just not sure when it will hit

It's mostly in the responsibilities of the parents, with everyone being so soft on their children it does not teach the children how to actually work in life.

Exactly, without proper parental guidance people are just going to be lazy. That's why people have so many problems with this generation of kids.
