Question 1

Why do you feel that you should represent your community as Mayor?

I am running for Mayor because Wilmot needs greater transparency, accountability and a stronger long-term vision. Decisions being made today about development, water, infrastructure, recreation and municipal finances will shape our Township for decades. We need to protect our farmland and water while also ensuring our communities have the infrastructure and services they need.

We also need strong advocacy at the Regional and Provincial levels. Our Mayor needs to clearly represent our community's concerns and make sure Wilmot's voice is heard.

When elected, I want residents to know that they can help shape important decisions. I will create opportunities to listen before decisions are made, and to make information more accessible and understandable.




I want to create opportunities to bring residents together. Wilmot is filled with people with knowledge and experience. We should be using it.

I bring experience managing organizations, budgets and staff, building partnerships and bringing people together to solve difficult problems. I want to use that experience to protect what matters to Wilmot.

I was not encouraged to run for office.

1. Why do you feel that you should represent your community as councillor?

A: I’ve lived in New Dundee for >10 years and love my community, its values and its character and culture. In my 30+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse and hospital executive, I believe I have the skills and the experience to be an effective councillor. most notably, is the commitment to advocate for our residents and our community in the same manner I would for a patient, their family, or the community I serve.

A: yes, on a couple of different occasions, I spoke with Stephanie Goertz, who is running for mayor of Wilmot Township. Our conversations were very aligned and through her encouragement, I decided to run
