The following report on Canadian Government leadership and results is presented by the National Citizens Coalition , More freedom. Less government. Is a telling story well worth the read. It tells it like it is Canada is not doing well!! While the legacy media continues to extol the virtues of Prime Minister Mark Carney, relying on polls to shield him from scrutiny, the cold, hard reality facing regular Canadians tells a starkly different story. When the cameras are on, PM Carney repeats the claim that Canada has the fastest-growing economy in the G7. But his rhetoric cannot change reality. The Economic Reality: • 110,000 Jobs Lost: The September jobs report revealed a devastating loss of 68,000 positions. Combined with August's losses, 110,000 Canadians have been thrown out of work in just two months. • Negative Year-to-Date Growth: So far in 2026, Canada has suffered a net overall loss of 46,000 jobs. • The "Opposite of Prudence": The government's own independent budget watchdog, Annette Ryan, recently called Carney’s financial plan the exact opposite of prudence. • A Debt Danger Zone: Debt-servicing interest costs have skyrocketed to 10 cents for every single dollar of revenue brought in. The watchdog warned that if this trajectory continues, it will hit 20 cents—plunging our national ledger into a structural danger zone. Instead of focusing on domestic stability, PM Carney has chosen to position himself as a global "anti-Trump" figurehead, seemingly trying to lead the free world while ignoring the collapse of foundational systems at home. While trade diversification is an important principle, geography matters. The United States will always be our primary trading partner, and Canada desperately needs a settled, secure trade agreement concluded before the end of this year. Turning our backs on our closest trading relationship to pursue integration with a fiscally struggling European Union—an expansion burdened by economic malaise and mismanaged immigration frameworks—is fundamentally reckless. An Unprecedented Liberal Immigration Crisis The out-of-control immigration policies over the last five years—the highest intake in the entire Western world—have proven to be a miserable and costly mistake. This exorbitant influx has actively depressed wages and driven youth unemployment to heights not seen in a long time. And now, Carney is threatening to reopen the floodgates at the exact same time the Indian High Commissioner engages in hostile foreign interference in the Canadian press by demanding 15 MILLION new workers from India to Canada. Our social safety nets are buckling under the pressure. Some local food banks report that an astonishing 95% of their users are individuals who were not even in the country a year ago. We need immediate, decisive action to correct this disastrous course of action: • Freeze Immigration Levels: We must place an immediate freeze on current immigration levels to allow our infrastructure, housing, and social services to catch up. • Enforce Visa Expirations: Individuals with expired visas must be sent home immediately to restore integrity and lawful enforcement to our borders. • Return to the 2015 Framework: We need to return our immigration policies to the 2015 baseline, when the system was structured around bringing in the best and brightest skilled workers to target specific economic needs and actively grow our economy. Canada needs a full-time Prime Minister who is solely focused on fixing Canada. We cannot afford a leader who continues to steer this country off a fiscal cliff, a cultural cliff, and a foreign policy cliff. It is time for PM Carney to drop the arrogant lectures, stay at home, swallow a piece of humble pie, and get to work fixing the massive crises his party created.
