Discussion How do Small Businesses Give Back?

Last month, my business partnered with a nearby bakery to include their products in our customer customer appreciation day. Not only did it help our sales, but it boosted the bakeries customer base and helped get the word about their products.

This got me thinking, Are there any creative ways that small businesses can support each other? I am looking for creative ways that I can help out my fellow small business owners while enticing people into coming to my store for an event as well.

You could try something like cross discount cards, where if you spend $30 at one store and then you can go to a partnering store and get a 10% discount. This way you incentivises people to go from one small business to another and create traffic for local businesses.
