Discussion What Jobs are Growing and Why?

While automation transforms many roles, research also highlights significant growth in certain fields. Sectors like web development, cybersecurity, healthcare, and clean energy are currently among the fastest‑growing for recent graduates.

Have you considered a career in one of these growth areas? If so, which one and what attracts you to it?

I think green energy roles, data analysis, and remote-based customer service are going to dominate. North America is pivoting towards sustainable industries, and tech infrastructure keeps expanding. It’s an exciting shift if people adapt quickly, but not everyone will catch on immediately.

That said though with the consideration of AI I think we will very soon reach a plateau in which we have a surplus of people in these fields and not enough jobs, if we haven't reached that already.

Honestly, I’ve noticed that healthcare and tech seem to be booming like nothing else. Partly it’s demographics, aging populations need more care and it’s automation creating demand for tech-savvy roles. Makes you wonder if traditional industries will keep up or just shrink over time
