Not necessarily. If someone already supports Pierre Poilievre, seeing him show up in bigger conversations like with Joe Rogan could just reinforce that

It matters because of reach. Rogan has a massive audience, even outside Canada. That kind of exposure can shift opinions or at least get people paying attention

I think the bigger issue is people saying “Let’s get him elected” without actually discussing policies. Like what change are we even talking about

Also worth mentioning that Joe Rogan brings in a very specific kind of audience. That might help him, but it could also turn other people off

I submit that he doesn’t need to be. He’s the world’s most watched/listened-to podcast so by going on his show, Pierre reached potential voters where they are. An excellent strategy that had he done so in ‘24, may have given him a win. It remains to be seen if the next election will be better.

I agree but most of the people who watch Joe Rogan tend to be conservative anyways, now it was a good way to get clips of him saying things on the internet but in reality Pierre needs to go after high Liberal demographics. The highest percentage of liberal voters come from women who are 55+, do we really think those kinds of people will be watching the Joe Rogan podcast.
Second to this, a big reason why his voter confidence went down was due to the fear that he merges Canada with the USA, is going on a podcast hosted by someone who backs Trump really the best idea if that is what lost him the election last time?
